Truly Magical!

Australia's mighty Murray River starts high up in the Snowy Mountains as a spring near a place referred to as The Pilot. From this spring, it combines with snow melt of the Australian Alps (Mount Kosciusko) proceeds to flow westward all the way to Lake Alexandrina near Adelaide.

The Man From Snowy River is an iconic Australian figure beautifully captured in the poem and this sprit in indelibly etched in the soul of all Australians and as such, following the Snowy River to its source near Mt Kosciusko is a pilgrimage all Australians should make. Like the Darling River to the west, the snowy is an Australian icon.
